GradFilm is a one-operator studio. This policy describes the specific data we handle when you place an order.
What we collect
- Contact & billing:your name and email at Stripe checkout. Card details are entered on Stripe's form and never touch our servers.
- Graduate info:the subject's name, school, graduation year, and any quote or family message you type into the order form.
- Photos: every image you upload, stored in a private Supabase bucket in the United States and accessed only by you (via a token-scoped link) and GradFilm.
- Product analytics: page views and anonymized event data via PostHog, used to understand which parts of the site work. No third-party ad pixels, no cross-site tracking.
How we use it
- To produce and deliver your film.
- To contact you about your order (receipts via Stripe, occasional operator emails about status).
- To improve the product and surface problems before they affect other customers.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use your photos to train anyone's AI models.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Supabase — database and file storage.
- Vercel — web hosting.
- PostHog — product analytics (self-serve, no ad network).
How long we keep it
Your order record, photos, and rendered film are kept for two yearsafter delivery so you can re-download without re-paying. After that, they're permanently deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see below).
Your choices
- Delete my data. Email hello@gradfilm.comwith your order number and we'll purge photos, graduate info, and the rendered film within seven days. We keep the payment record (amount, date, last four of card) as required by tax law.
- Correct my info. Edit graduate fields in your order portal, or email us to change the email address on file.
- Export my data. You already hold the originals — we return them on request as a zip.
- California residents (CCPA):you have the rights listed above. We don't sell personal information, so no opt-out is required.
Children
GradFilm is purchased by adults on behalf of graduating students. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children. If you're uploading photos of minors, you confirm you have the right to do so.
